Welcome to Barnet YHA Local Group

Walking in Dovedale, Derbyshire

Barnet YHA Local Group organises walking weekends away from London throughout the year, social events, weekend day walks, summer evening walks, cycling and multi-activity events for members.

See our photo albums for an autumn weekend in the Derbyshire Peak District or a Spring Bank holiday weekend in the Lake District.

We are a Local YHA Group, currently with 75 members in the age range 20s to 40s and above. Our members live in Barnet and surrounding areas of North London and South Herts, such as Enfield, Potters Bar, Mill Hill, Finchley, etc.

Whether you live in the North London area or are just here temporarily, you are welcome to join us to explore the countryside of England and Wales.

We have weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings. Join us on any Tuesday evening for a variety of activities, including barbecues, games, guest speakers and quizzes. You can also find out about forthcoming events and pick up a copy of our monthly newsletter. Barnet YHA Group meets for social events and weekends away but we do not offer overnight accommodation in the Barnet or North London area.
