Day Walk - Hertfordshire Way - Hertford to Widford

 

To celebrate the fact that we were founded 60 years ago, this year we will walk the 166 mile Hertfordshire Way, one section each month.

A 13.6 mile walk, leaving the outskirts of Hertford behind us, we will be winding north alongside the river Beane turning east through scenic Woodhall Park. Including views of the Ash Valley, this leg is almost entirely rural. Please bring a packed lunch. Maps: Explorer 194 Landranger 166.

Meet: 09:00 at Barnet Odeon, EN5 1AB or 10:00 Parliament Square Car Park, Hertford, SG14 1EZ, GR TL326125.

Finish: Widford village centre GR TL420159, park in the lay-by at church just outside the village.

This is a linear walk which requires a car shuttle arrangement between Hertford and Widford.
