A 9.5 mile relatively flat walk. We go to Berkhamsted through the woods and fields then we join the canal and walk to Tring station from which we head back to Ashridge park where huge scones with cream and strawberry jam might be waiting for us.
The parking is free and there are toilets in Ashridge Estate Visitor Centre. You will need to take a packed lunch. Walking boots recommended as the ground is mainly clay so keeps humidity for a long time and can get very muddy.
