Home About the YHA
|
The YHA (England and Wales) Limited aims to offer secure, comfortable and welcoming accommodation at low prices, suitable for individuals, families or groups exploring the countryside, taking part in educational activities or visiting heritage cities. The object of YHA (England and Wales) Limited is to help all, especially young people of limited means, to a greater knowledge, love and care of the countryside, particularly by providing hostels or other simple accommodation for them in their travels, and thus to promote their health, rest and education. YHA accommodation is not only for young people however, as guests of all ages are welcome.
The YHA (England and Wales) Limited is a registered charity and any surpluses earned on its operations are reinvested in the hostel network - providing further improvements to existing hostels or opening new ones. Membership of YHA (England and Wales) Limited also allows you to use over 4,500 youth hostels in over 60 other countries. If you are a visitor from another country and you are a member of your own country's youth hostels association (affiliated to IYHF), your membership card allows you to use youth hostels in England & Wales. If you are not a member of YHA (England and Wales) Limited you can stay as a guest and pay £3 per night extra.
