Europe Weekend Away - Bilbao, Northern Spain
Visit the Basque city of Bilbao with its culture, stunning scenery and vibrant nightlife. We will be staying in the centrally located Ibis Hotel at approximately £60.00 per night. Flights are from Heathrow and depart & return at 15:45 & 12:05 respectively. The flight cost at time of going to print was £90.00 return.

Itinerary
Please look on line for what Bilbao has to offer. There is no set itinerary for the trip and people can spend their time as they wish. In the past we have done communal things such as visiting bars and restaurants and visiting tourist attractions. People have in the past organised walking activities. As with past trips people who come along may wish to arrange things on a daily basis. We usually have a few communal meals in restaurants which are arranged on an ad-hoc basis.
We have a suggested flight itinerary which departs and returns from Heathrow and as of 26th Jan 2018, seats were available at £90 Round trip, including taxes and fees, 1 passenger Economy Class.
Hotel
We are staying in a hotel in the centre of Bilbao. The cheapest way to book would seem to be via the web site of the hotel chain. You can get a 10 percent discount if you sign up as a member which makes the rooms approximately £60.00 a night. The rates obviously vary slightly depending on your room preference, if you want a flexible booking and if you want breakfast. The rooms may sell out as it gets nearer to the departure date. Obviously an early booking is advised to secure your room. If you leave it too late then it may sell out.
How to secure your place
Please confirm with the organiser once you have decided to come. The organiser will give details of the suggested flights and the suggested hotel and you can book your flight and hotel. If you want to change your itinerary or your flights to meet your own needs then that’s fine. It would be preferable if we all stay in the same hotel for the majority of the dates identified as this helps us all to share in the fun and atmosphere of the group trip.
